NTD News Today (June 13): Trump to Appear in Miami Court in Historic Federal Case; US Intel Agencies Buy Personal Data: Report

Former President Donald Trump is set to appear at a Miami courthouse on June 13 for a historic federal case. He’s charged with 38 counts—including 31 under the Espionage Act—for his handling of classified documents. Former federal prosecutor Will Scharf said that Trump’s defense will likely focus on the former president’s state of mind and on his intent. Democratic strategist and civil rights attorney Robert Patillo said the former president “may spend the remainder of his life in prison.”

A newly declassified report says U.S. intelligence agencies are buying data on ordinary Americans that are gleaned from smartwatches, fitness trackers, and wireless earpieces.

The Senate will investigate Saudi Arabia’s influence on American golf. Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) said Saudi Arabia might use sports to distract from its human rights issues.
