Senator Grassley Informed Newsmax of FBI Document on Bidens a Year Earlier
Sen. Chuck Grassley, a Republican from Iowa, claims that he knew about an unclassified FBI document a year ago that allegedly contains allegations of a bribery scheme involving President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden. Grassley says that the FBI made it difficult for him and other Republican lawmakers to obtain the document. He released a lightly redacted version of the document to the public on July 20 after ensuring the protection of the FBI whistleblowers who alerted him to its contents. Grassley says that he had to team up with Rep. James Comer to issue a subpoena for the document after the FBI continued to stonewall his request. The FBI eventually provided a heavily redacted version of the document. Key facts that were redacted allegedly included claims that Ukrainian energy giant Burisma Holdings Limited founder Mykola Zlochevsky had 15 audio recordings of phone calls with himself, Hunter Biden, and Joe Biden as insurance. Zlochevsky purportedly paid both Bidens $5 million each to ensure the firing of the Ukraine Prosecutor General investigating Burisma for corruption in 2016. Grassley accuses the FBI of trying to cover up the fact that the vice president had recorded conversations in Ukraine. He believes that the document should be available to the public.
