Representative Burchett Alleges Pentagon and NASA Are Concealing Information Regarding UFO Program, Newsmax Reports
Congressman Tim Burchett from Tennessee has accused the intelligence community of covering up the existence of a program that retrieves and reverse engineers unidentified flying objects (UFOs) since 1947. Burchett believes that further funding should not be provided to the Pentagon to study UFOs and instead calls for transparency, including access to un-redacted files and photos. He claims that attempts to gain access to information have been met with roadblocks from Congress and staff members. Burchett points to legislation proposed to the FAA reauthorization, which aimed to ensure that airline pilots can report UFO sightings to the FAA, which would then pass the report onto Congress. However, the legislation was allegedly blocked by the intelligence community. Burchett’s comments came in response to testimony by former Pentagon intelligence official David Grusch during a House Oversight Committee hearing. Grusch claimed that the government is covering up its knowledge of UFOs and that he was certain the government possessed nonhuman craft. The Pentagon has denied these claims, stating that they have not found any evidence of programs related to UFO possession or reverse-engineering. Burchett calls on the Pentagon and NASA to stop obstructing and start sharing information on UFOs.
