Rep. Gallagher Warns Newsmax: China’s Threat Persists within Our Borders
Republican Congressman Mike Gallagher of Wisconsin appeared on “The Record with Greta Van Susteren” and warned viewers that China is not only a foreign policy threat to the United States but also a threat within the country. Gallagher, who heads the House panel investigating Beijing, expressed concern about an illegal Chinese-owned laboratory found in California. The purpose of the lab is unclear, as well as the potential existence of more such labs. The facility was shut down for manufacturing COVID-19 rapid tests without proper authorization from the FDA, and it was discovered that the lab also stored over 20 deadly viruses. Gallagher stated that the Chinese Communist Party is engaged in an “all-out assault on American sovereignty” and highlighted other instances of potential CCP infiltration, including police stations in New York City’s Chinese community and land purchases near military bases. He also pointed out that there is evidence suggesting the Wuhan Institute of Virology as the source of the COVID-19 virus. Gallagher emphasized that the China threat is not solely a distant threat, but also a threat within the United States.
