Fox Chosen by RNC for Second Primary Debate
The Republican National Committee (RNC) has selected Fox Business to host the second GOP primary debate in September. Fox News, a sister station to Fox Business, will broadcast the first debate scheduled for August. The RNC has partnered with organizations such as the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute, Univision, and Rumble for the September debate, which will take place at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California. RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel expressed a desire for a fair and transparent debate. To qualify for the September debate, candidates must have at least 50,000 donors and poll at 3% in two national polls, an increase from the August debate requirements of 40,000 donors and 200 unique donors from 20 states. Currently, nine Republican candidates have qualified for the August debate, including Donald Trump, Mike Pence, Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy, Chris Christie, Tim Scott, Doug Burgum, and Perry Johnson.
