Rep. Comer Insists on Receiving Unredacted Records Regarding Biden’s Tenure as VP
James Comer, the Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, has demanded that the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) release records from President Joe Biden’s time as vice president that overlap with his son Hunter Biden’s activities in Ukraine. Comer has requested all unredacted documents and communications where Biden used a pseudonym, where Hunter Biden or his associates were copied, and all drafts of a speech Biden gave to the Ukrainian Rada. Comer alleges that evidence shows Biden’s family had wide access to his government duties, contradicting Biden’s claims of a separation between his family’s business and his vice presidency. Comer points to witness testimony and emails that indicate Biden’s involvement with his son’s business associates.
