Grief Engulfs Quebec Community as Four Family Members Perish in Home Construction Tragedy
A tragic home construction accident in a rural Quebec community has left four family members dead. The incident occurred on Saturday in St-Léandre, Que., when a scissor lift, on which two men and two women were standing, suddenly toppled for unknown reasons.
Among the victims were Marco Roy, 60, and Jocelyne Bouchard, 53, who hailed from Rivière-du-Loup, located 200 kilometers northeast of Quebec City. Émerik Chenard, 27, and Kim Blouin, 24, were also tragically killed. The latter two victims were residents of St-Léandre, a small town with a population of less than 400 people, situated around 400 kilometers northeast of the provincial capital.
The incident has left the Bas-St-Laurent region in mourning as the community mourns the loss of these family members.
