Voters Split on Trump’s Georgia Indictment According to Rasmussen Poll
A grand jury in Fulton County, Georgia, has indicted former President Donald Trump and his aides on charges of interfering with the state’s general election in 2020. A majority of voters believe that cheating by corrupt officials prevented Trump from winning the state. While Democrat voters strongly approve of the charges against Trump, Republicans disapprove. Voters under 40 and those with higher incomes are more likely to approve of the charges. President Joe Biden’s strongest supporters are most enthusiastic about prosecuting Trump. The survey was conducted by Rasmussen Reports with a margin of error of +/- 3 percentage points. Trump plans to skip a televised debate among Republican 2024 presidential candidates but has a strong lead with GOP primary voters.
