Chris Christie Praises Mike Pence for Upholding the Constitution
Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie praised former Vice President Mike Pence for upholding the Constitution when he declared Joe Biden the winner of the 2020 election, despite pressure from former President Donald Trump to pause the official count. Christie criticized Trump for wanting to suspend the Constitution for his political career. During a Republican National Committee debate, only former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson said he would not support Trump and suggested using the 14th Amendment to disqualify him from running for office due to the events of Jan. 6.
