The residence is a three-bedroom, three-bathroom home in a gated community, with amenities such as a gourmet kitchen and a guest studio with an ocean view. Biden’s Secret Service detail is residing in a nearby rental property funded by taxpayers. The rental property has an estimated market value of $4 million. Hunter Biden is allegedly funding his lifestyle through the sale of his paintings. The downsizing is likely due to his financial burden from mounting legal bills after a failed plea deal on federal tax and gun charges. Previous reports have indicated that Biden and his wife were not ideal tenants, leaving a previous rental property in poor condition and owing their landlords approximately $80,000 in back rent. The former rental property in Venice Beach was sold for $3.9 million in March.
