Some speculated that Biden’s departure was due to confusion or forgetfulness, referencing past incidents such as when he appeared to check his watch during a ceremony for U.S. troops killed in Afghanistan. Taylor, a distinguished helicopter pilot, was awarded the Medal of Honor for his bravery during a battle in Vietnam in 1968. He risked his life to rescue a four-man patrol group while under intense ground fire.
