Breaking News: NASA’s Live Mission Successfully Collects Asteroid Sample and Heads back to Earth!
A suitcase filled with rocks from an asteroid will make its way into Earth’s atmosphere and touch down in Utah. NASA’s OSIRIS-REx spacecraft collected the material from the asteroid Bennu in October 2020. This will be the first attempt by the United States to collect and bring back samples from an asteroid, following Japan’s lead.
