Surprise Winner May Take Iowa Caucuses, According to Joe Lieberman on Newsmax
Former President Donald Trump is leading in the polls nationally, but the Iowa caucuses could bring surprises, according to Joe Lieberman, a former Connecticut senator and founding co-chairman of No Labels. He made the comments during an appearance on Newsmax Sunday.
Lieberman also spoke about the importance of having the best organization to win the caucuses, and noted that Trump has been urging his supporters to participate. He also discussed Nikki Haley and her strong ground game, but still believes Trump is likely to win the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary.
Lieberman also mentioned the possibility of other Republican candidates dropping out of the race after the Iowa caucuses, such as Chris Christie and Gov. Ron DeSantis.
He also addressed a controversy involving Haley, who recently seemed to dismiss Iowa voters, as well as the ongoing rivalry between Iowa and New Hampshire as the first states to hold caucuses and primaries.
