Trump calls on UAW to remove Shawn Fain

Former President Donald Trump is calling for the United Auto Workers union to give President Shawn Fain the boot for having endorsed President Joe Biden.

“Get rid of this dope & vote for DJT,” Trump wrote in a scathing rebuke Sunday night, referring to Trump’s initials. “I will bring the automobile industry back to our country.”

Trump had teased in campaign rallies earlier this month his hope that the long-owned union endorsements for Democrats and Biden would be broken by him in this election cycle, but the UAW’s Fain rejected speaking with Trump last year and continued his ongoing alliance with Biden and Democrats, announcing the endorsement on behalf of the auto workers union.

“He bought into Biden’s ‘vision’ of all electric vehicles, which require far fewer workers to make each car but, more importantly, are not wanted in large numbers by the consumer, and will ALL be made in China,” Trump wrote in his post. “I want them to be made in the USA, every type of car, and would require China, and other countries, through TARIFFS, or otherwise, to build plants here, with our workers.

“Now they are building in Mexico, the biggest plants anywhere, and selling their cars, Tariff Free, into the good ol’ USA. Shawn Fain doesn’t understand this or have a clue.”

Trump alleged Fain — “a real ‘stiff'” — is not working on the behalf of the auto workers but instead working to the favor of Biden administration and Democrat policies to the detriment of working people.

“I had the great privilege of watching Shawn Fain, the President of the United Auto Workers, this morning on DeFace the Nation,” Trump’s post began, mocking CBS’ “Face the Nation” with one of his trademark nicknames. “He is a real ‘STIFF’ who is selling the Automobile Industry right into the big, powerful, hands of China. 55% of the industry has already left the U.S., and the rest will soon be following if I am not elected president.”
