Senator Tuberville Tells Newsmax: I’m Just Happy Biden is Aware of the Existence of a Border

On Wednesday, Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., reacted to a clip on Newsmax of President Joe Biden blaming former President Donald Trump — who is not in office — for the current border crisis, quipping he’s just glad Biden knows there’s a border.

The senator’s reaction came during an appearance on “The Chris Salcedo Show.”

On Tuesday, Biden, while adorning an American flag-Ukrainian flag lapel pin and speaking on the stagnant Senate border bill, which includes aid for Ukraine and other foreign entities, proclaimed, “Every day between now and November, the American people are going to know that the only reason the border is not secure is Donald Trump and his MAGA Republican friends.”

Notably, as Customs and Border Protection statistics show, from January 2021, when Biden first took office, to December 2022, the number of Southwest land border encounters surged under the control of a Democrat-led House and Senate.

Tuberville, noting the Biden clip, quipped, “I’m just glad Joe Biden knows we have a border, and he knows that there’s a problem.

“He’s finally admitted it,” Tuberville continued, “that we’re being invaded. But they don’t want to put any answers to this. They want to hold American people hostage; that’s exactly what they’re doing. ‘But, man, let’s just send billions of dollars to other countries and protect their borders.'”
