Poll: ‘Squad’ Member Loses 22 Points in Missouri Primary
Rep. Cori Bush, D-Mo., trails Democrat primary challenger Wesley Bell by 22 points, according to a poll by Remington/Missouri Scout.
The primary is Aug. 6.
Bush, who represents the St. Louis area, is a high-profile member of a progressive group of House members called “The Squad,” which includes Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.
Polls results:
- 50% support Bell, a Missouri prosecutor.
- 28% support Bush
- 4% support state Sen. Maria Chapelle Nadal.
- 18% are undecided.
- 50% say the Democratic Party aligns with their personal ideology
- 17% say the party is more liberal
- 15% say it is more conservative.
- 18% say they are not sure.
The poll, conducted Feb. 7-9, surveyed 401 likely 2024 Democrat primary voters. It has a margin of error of plus/minus 4.9 percentage points.
