47% of participants in the Rasmussen Poll believe that Democrats might replace Biden

According to a recent Rasmussen Reports poll, nearly half of likely voters believe that the Democrat party may replace President Joe Biden as the nominee before the upcoming election in November.

The survey, released on Monday, revealed that 47% of those surveyed, including 33% of Democrats, think it is likely that Biden will be replaced by his party. Former First Lady Michelle Obama emerged as the top choice for a replacement among those surveyed.

Additionally, the survey found that 48% of Democrats and 48% of likely voters would approve of replacing Biden, with only 38% of Democrats disapproving. Among Republicans, 45% would approve of the replacement.

When asked about the best candidate to replace Biden, 15% of likely voters and 20% of Democrats preferred Obama, followed by Vice President Kamala Harris at 10%. Other potential candidates mentioned were Hillary Clinton, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. Democrats surveyed ranked these replacements in a similar order but with varying preferences.

Despite the speculation surrounding Biden’s future within the party, with concerns raised by special counsel Robert Hur’s report, nearly half of the survey respondents believe none of the mentioned candidates would be better than Biden.

Following the survey, Rep. Ken Buck, R-Colo., filed a resolution urging Biden’s Cabinet to invoke the 25^th Amendment to begin the process of removing him from office.

The survey included 960 likely voters and was conducted from Feb. 18-20, with a margin of sampling error of +/- 3 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
