Rep. Clyde predicts that Super Tuesday will spell the end for the Haley campaign during an interview with Newsmax.

Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is facing pressure from Republicans across the nation to drop her bid for the Republican presidential nomination after losing to Donald Trump by 20.3 percentage points in her home state’s primary on Feb. 24.

Rep. Andrew Clyde, R-Ga., shared with Newsmax on Tuesday that Haley’s campaign is expected to come to an end after Super Tuesday, where 35% of Republican delegates will be up for grabs across 15 states.

“Nikki Haley, after losing the South Carolina primary by 20 points, it was a major blow to her campaign,” Clyde, a member of the House Appropriations Committee, stated on “American Agenda.” “I believe Super Tuesday will be the final nail in the coffin for her.”

“We will have our Republican candidate, President Trump, and his leadership is eagerly anticipated, especially on issues regarding the southern border.”

Clyde, whose state’s primary isn’t until March 12, emphasized that the situation at the southern border, with a significant influx of illegal immigrants during President Joe Biden’s tenure, is a critical concern for Americans.

“How many more American citizens need to suffer at the hands of illegal immigrants or be harmed by fentanyl before President Biden takes action to secure the border?” Clyde questioned. “We have H.R. 2 [Secure the Border Act] awaiting consideration in the Senate, and it’s imperative that action is taken. This issue needs to be addressed by Congress.”

“The president already possesses the authority to address the situation at the southern border. His intentional inaction favors the ongoing invasion of our southern border.”
