Critical Race Theory: A modern form of segregation in schools across the nation

Ever since the public learned about critical race theory a few years back, it has infiltrated almost every aspect of American society.

Critical race theory, a neo-Marxist ideology, simplifies every interaction between individuals into a conflict between the oppressor race (seen as the guilty villain) and the oppressed race (seen as the righteous victim).

This harmful doctrine is not only detrimental to children, but it also poses a threat to the core values of Western civilization, such as individual agency and freedom.

Even within the Department of Defense’s K-12 schools for the children of US service members, the indoctrination of critical race theory has been found to be divisive and toxic. As a result, the Education Activity Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion was shut down. Despite this, the indoctrination continues to be implemented, with the DEI office reemerging as the DEI “Steering Committee.”

Critical race theory indoctrinates children, including young ones reading picture books, to view all white individuals as privileged oppressors and all black individuals as helpless victims.

In California, for example, the recently mandated Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum segregates children into oppressor and victim groups based solely on their race. This leads to former friends of different races viewing each other with suspicion or hostility. Essentially, critical race theory creates racist attitudes among children.

This ideology has even fueled antisemitic incidents in schools across California, New York, Boston, Washington, and Philadelphia due to its divisive narratives.

Contrary to promoting inclusion and acceptance, critical race theory asserts that “ethnic studies without critical race theory is not ethnic studies,” according to Manuel Rustin, a contributor to California’s curriculum.

Under critical race theory, individuals labeled as oppressed are taught to believe they are powerless to change their circumstances. This discourages attributes such as achievement, belief in progress, meritocracy, and more.

Learned helplessness

Instead of empowering children, critical race theory instills learned helplessness by making them view every interaction through the lens of oppression. This leads to the belief that facts don’t matter, and subjective experiences and feelings are more important.

CRT also cultivates fragility by encouraging sensitivity to imagined slights instead of resilience against adversity.

While one would expect mental health professionals to intervene, even they have been influenced by critical race theory, perpetuating its damaging effects.

Similarly to Soviet tactics involving psychiatry, CRT uses “social-emotional learning” to manipulate vulnerable children further into compliance with its doctrines.

According to CRT, any disparate outcomes by race are automatically attributed to racism and must be eliminated for “equity” to prevail. This leads to a dumbing down of academics through various harmful practices.

These practices include inflating grades, dumbing down the curriculum, and implementing racially biased educational policies. Such measures not only diminish academic standards but also erode the sense of meritocracy and excellence in education.

Attack on the family

By favoring less academically deserving individuals of the “victim” race over more qualified individuals of the “oppressor” race, CRT-infused policies undermine traditional family structures. This move disempowers families in safeguarding individual liberties against the influences of Marxist ideologies like CRT.

Kids depend on healthy family environments to thrive, but critical race theory has many questioning their identities and instilling feelings of victimhood or guilt. This destructive ideology threatens the future of America by raising a generation that is dysfunctional, hateful, and misguided.
