Gonzales addresses criticism of Biden’s Border Bill
Rep. Tony Gonzales, R-Texas, stated that there is a disconnect between President Joe Biden’s words and actions regarding the border.
During “The Hill Sunday,” Gonzales reacted to Biden’s call to Congress to deliver last month’s failed Senate border bill to him. In his State of the Union address, Biden emphasized the urgency for Congress to “get this bill done. We need to act now.”
Gonzales pointed out that the Senate was unable to bring the bill to the floor for a vote, contradicting Biden’s statement. He also criticized the bill for allowing 5,000 individuals to enter the country illegally, arguing that the number should always be zero.
