Rep. Fry Expresses Deep Concern Over Revelations Regarding J6 Committee in Interview With Newsmax
Rep. Russell Fry, R-S.C., spoke with Newsmax on Monday, expressing his concerns about the House select committee’s investigation into the events of Jan. 6, 2021. He criticized the committee for relying on hearsay evidence and selectively choosing information to pin the blame on former President Donald Trump.
Rep. Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga., shared his initial findings on Monday from an investigation into the committee’s actions. He revealed that instead of focusing on security failures at the Capitol on Jan. 6, the committee was fixated on pushing a narrative of Trump’s culpability and accountability “by any means necessary.”
“It’s deeply concerning,” Fry told “Eric Bolling The Balance.” “Congressional hearings are meant to seek out the facts and engage in discussion. Disagreements are common, but the pursuit of truth should always be paramount.”
Fry, a member of the House Judiciary and Oversight committees, emphasized that this is another example of Democrats using the government against political opponents.
“This pre-determined outcome is troubling,” he said. “It’s alarming to see taxpayer-funded committees operate in this manner. The weaponization of our government based on political beliefs is a serious issue in both the courts and Congress.”
