Former UFC fighter Mark Coleman faces life-threatening injuries after saving parents from house fire | US News
Former UFC fighter Mark Coleman is currently in the hospital fighting for his life after bravely rescuing his parents from a house fire.
Family members and associates of the UFC Hall of Famer reported that he is in an induced coma following the incident in Toledo, Ohio, early this morning.
Reports indicate that Mr. Coleman was alerted to the fire by his dog, Hammer, who was barking as the fire engulfed the house.
The 59-year-old heroically rescued his parents from the burning building before attempting to save his dog, Hammer, who unfortunately did not survive.
Although his parents escaped with minor injuries, Coleman collapsed due to smoke inhalation and had to be airlifted to the hospital for treatment, as reported by Sky’s US partner NBC News.
Firefighters arriving at the scene found that the roof had collapsed.
His daughter shared a message on social media stating that he is “fighting for his life” and described him as their hero and a fighter.
On Facebook, Connie, Mr. Coleman’s mother, expressed gratitude for their survival and thanked the responders, family, and well-wishers for their support.
