Is the Biden administration intentionally provoking controversy with ‘Trans Day’ on Easter, or simply unaware?

Many argue that it’s simply a coincidence that Transgender Day of Visibility, observed on March 31 since 2009, coincides with Easter this year, a moveable holiday significant to Christians.

Regardless, more foresight could have been taken by the activist who selected the date, as well as the Biden administration, who committed to recognizing the day in 2021 without checking the 2024 calendar.

Governor Hochul’s decision to illuminate landmarks light pink, white, and light blue in honor of the day could have been more carefully considered.

The blatant nature of the celebration remains the same, despite any justifications.

While it’s not the case that Christians are particularly anti-trans, there seems to be a tendency for some trans activists to lean towards being anti-Christian or anti-Catholic, as seen with groups like The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

There’s certainly some tension when a favored group receives more attention than a longstanding high holiday like Easter.

Especially as the left’s current target is “Christian Nationalism.”

It was recently deemed acceptable to disrupt Easter Vigil services at St. Patrick’s on Saturday night in the name of Palestine, a reflection of the blurred causes championed by the left in today’s climate, all united by a rejection of traditional norms in favor of more radical positions.

It’s unclear if President Biden (or his White House staff) are intentionally provoking or if they’ve truly lost touch with the beliefs held by the majority of Americans, regardless of creed, race, or gender identity.

The overarching message is that the Democratic Party’s leadership prioritizes extreme viewpoints over those of mainstream America.

It’s a disheartening reality.
