Attempt to Remove Speaker Mike Johnson by Marjorie Taylor Greene

The recent fall of their own speaker by Republicans in Congress was not a noble act, and Marjorie Taylor Greene’s actions are setting new low standards.

To paraphrase Marx: first as a farce, then as an even more ridiculous farce.

Greene criticized Speaker Johnson on Tucker Carlson’s show last week, presenting a mix of conspiracy theories and immature ranting.

It seems that the anti-Johnson faction is lacking strong arguments since MTG is the best they have to offer.

While there are valid reasons to oppose funding for Ukraine, Greene and her supporter failed to address them during the show.

Greene accused Johnson of changing from a conservative Christian to resembling Nancy Pelosi in a short span of time.

It’s worth questioning what made Johnson shift his views while becoming the leader of a challenging majority group in Congress.

It’s one thing to criticize spending deals without much impact, but it’s different when you are the one responsible for leading your party through crucial decisions.

Johnson should feel responsible for taking a vote on the Ukraine aid package, considering the bipartisan support for it.

Greene speculated that Johnson might be getting blackmailed, although there is no evidence to support such claims.

Greene and Carlson, who claim to be nationalists, seem to lack an understanding of why defending one’s homeland is crucial.

They portray supporters of Ukraine as murderers, ignoring the context of the conflict and the importance of defending against foreign aggression.

Carlson brought up the actions of the Kyiv government against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, failing to mention its ties to Moscow.

Greene argued against aiding Ukraine based on her interpretation of Christian faith, suggesting that supporting Ukraine goes against Christian values.

She also commented on Johnson’s lack of sleep, linking it to a guilty conscience.

Maybe Johnson’s sleep is disturbed by the realization that someone like Marjorie Taylor Greene holds significance in his small majority.
