Democratic Adviser: Biden’s Path to Victory is Narrow

According to a Democrat adviser, President Joe Biden faces a challenging path to secure the 270 electoral college votes needed to defeat former President Donald Trump and win back the White House.

In a commentary for The New York Times, Doug Sosnik stated that the current electoral map favors Trump, with recent developments in Arizona providing some hope for Biden.

Sosnik highlighted Arizona’s recent reinstatement of an 1864 abortion ban as a significant factor in the upcoming election.

He identified seven crucial states, including Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, and North Carolina, that will likely determine the election outcome based on historical voting trends.

Sosnik emphasized the importance of Michigan and the Sun Belt states of Arizona and Nevada, where the abortion issue is expected to influence the voter turnout.

He also warned Democrats about the significance of winning Minnesota in securing Biden’s reelection chances, despite some setbacks in voter support since the 2020 election.

Recent polling indicates a decline in Biden’s support among young and nonwhite voters in key battleground states like Arizona, Nevada, and Georgia, as reported by Axios.
