Private Donor Event Spotlights Trump and VP Candidates

An event held on Saturday at the Four Seasons in Palm Beach, Florida, featured the top candidates to potentially be Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s running mate.

While Trump has emphasized that the VP pick will not determine the outcome of the 2024 election, the chosen running mate can influence the future of the 2028 GOP front-runner, as Trump can play a role in passing on the MAGA legacy.

During a private donor luncheon, Trump reportedly stated that many politicians are eager to be his vice president, debunking the notion that he would struggle to find candidates for his administration.

The event featured prominent Trump campaign guests including Sens. J.D. Vance, Tim Scott, Marco Rubio, Reps. Elise Stefanik, Byron Donalds, as well as North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem.

Reports revealed that Noem left the event early and did not join the others on stage during a key moment of the fundraiser, where donors who paid $1 million could join Trump on stage.

Trump did not provide clear indications of who his running mate might be, but praised all the candidates equally, highlighting their strengths and contributions.

Most of Trump’s remarks at the luncheon were similar to those made at public campaign rallies, including criticisms of President Joe Biden and other political figures. He also expressed his nonchalant attitude towards facing indictments and trials during the campaign.
