Charlie Colin, a founding member of 90s pop rock band Train, has passed away after slipping in a shower, as per reports.
The incident occurred in Belgium, where the 58-year-old was house-sitting for a friend in Brussels.
According to TMZ, the star’s mother confirmed the incident, but the exact time of his passing remains unconfirmed. His sister also confirmed his death to US entertainment site, Variety.
The band, established in San Francisco in 1993, shared a statement on Instagram stating: “When I met Charlie Colin, front left, I fell in love with him.

“He was THE sweetest guy and what a handsome chap. Let’s make a band, that’s the only reasonable thing to do.
“His unique bass playing and beautiful guitar work helped get folks to notice us in SF (San Francisco) and beyond.
“I’ll always have a warm place for him in my heart. I always tried to pull him closer, but he had a vision of his own.
“You’re a legend, Charlie. Go charm the pants off those angels.”

Colin co-founded the band with Pat Monahan, Rob Hotchkiss, Scott Underwood, and Jimmy Stafford, and together they released hits like “Drops of Jupiter” and “Marry Me”.
He reportedly left the band in 2003 due to substance abuse problems.
Their hit song, “Hey, Soul Sister”, was recorded in 2009 after Colin’s departure from the group.
