Memorial Day BBQ Prices Increase by 10% in ’24 Under President Biden
The average cost of a Memorial Day cookout this year is approximately $30, which is 10% higher compared to 2023 under Bidenomics.
According to WalletHub, around 52% of Americans are planning to barbecue during the holiday weekend.
Additionally, out of the 43.8 million Americans traveling over the Memorial Day weekend, 38.4 million plan to drive, facing gas prices that have increased by 4% year over year, now at an average of $3.70 per gallon, as reported by WalletHub.
The cost implications of the holiday weekend come shortly after the Cook Political Report published a poll indicating that 56% of swing-state voters believe Republican presumptive nominee Donald Trump could control prices compared to 40% who have faith in President Joe Biden.
“Workers and families are directly feeling the impact of Joe Biden’s unsuccessful economic policies, with prices on essential household items like gas, food, rent, and diapers soaring,” stated Trump campaign national spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said.
