Majority of Democrats in Rasmussen Poll Call for Biden’s Replacement

A new Rasmussen Reports poll released on Tuesday reveals that a majority of Democrats approve of replacing President Joe Biden as the Democratic Party candidate for November’s election.

According to the poll, 49% of likely voters overall would approve of Democrats dumping Biden. Specifically, 54% of Democratic voters want Biden out, with 25% strongly approving of the move. The survey also shows that 45% of GOP voters and 50% of unaffiliated voters support replacing Biden.

The number of Democrats in favor of replacing Biden has increased by 6 points since the last survey conducted in February, as reported by Rasmussen.

The age group most in favor of replacing Biden is voters aged 18-39, with 69% in this category expressing a desire for Biden to be replaced.

While only 44% of likely voters overall believe that Biden will actually be replaced, 52% of Republicans surveyed think it is likely that Democrats will make this move.

When asked about potential alternate Democratic candidates, “none of them” is the most popular choice, with Vice President Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, Gavin Newsom, and Gretchen Whitmer trailing behind in the poll results.

Rasmussen Reports conducted the survey among 1,113 U.S. likely voters from May 20-22, with a margin of sampling error of +/- 3 percentage points and a 95% level of confidence.
