Trump Responds to Verdict: ‘This Is Far from Finished’

Former President Donald Trump responded to the guilty verdict delivered in his business records trial in Manhattan on Thursday afternoon, labeling it a “rigged trial by a conflicted judge who was corrupt.”

Trump asserted his innocence and promised to continue fighting for “our Constitution,” declaring, “this is far from over.”

Trump was found guilty on all 34 counts following two days of jury deliberations. His sentencing is scheduled for July 11, just four days before the start of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

“This was a rigged trial by a conflicted judge who was corrupt. It’s a rigged trial, a disgrace,” Trump stated regarding Judge Juan Merchan, who presided over the trial.

“The real verdict will come from the people on November 5th. They understand what occurred here, and everyone is aware of the situation,” Trump expressed. “We did nothing wrong. I am completely innocent, and that’s okay; I am fighting for our country, I am fighting for our Constitution. Our entire nation is currently being manipulated.

“This was orchestrated by the Biden administration to harm or weaken a political opponent. And I find it to be a disgrace. We will continue to fight. We will fight till the end, and we will prevail because our country is in turmoil. We no longer have the same nation,” he continued. “We have a nation in serious trouble.

“However, this was a predetermined decision right from the beginning with a biased judge who should not have been allowed to preside over this case. Never. And we will stand up for our Constitution,” Trump declared.

“This is just the beginning.”
