Trump Lawyer Will Scharf speaks to Newsmax, declaring: ‘This is a Matter of the Constitution’

According to Will Scharf, the attorney representing former President Donald Trump, Trump made a very interesting statement during his press conference in Manhattan after being convicted on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records by a New York jury. Scharf shared on Newsmax‘s “American Agenda” that Trump emphasized this case was not just about him or his presidency but about the Constitution and the entire constitutional republic being on trial due to the leftist weaponization of the courts and the campaign of lawfare and election interference against him.

After a 9½-hour deliberation, a jury found Trump guilty on all 34 counts for falsifying business records to hide payments to Stormy Daniels. The sentencing hearing is scheduled for July 11, just days before Trump is expected to be named the presidential nominee at the Republican National Committee’s convention.

Scharf confirmed that Trump’s legal team intends to appeal the verdict vigorously and quickly, believing it will be overturned due to its lawlessness. He expressed concern for the future of the Constitution and the country as a result of this spectacle.

In response to the verdict, President Joe Biden stated that it proved no one is above the law and criticized those questioning the legitimacy of the jury’s decision and the American criminal justice system as reckless and dangerous. Scharf rebutted by calling for Biden’s removal from office, condemning the weaponization of the legal system and urging Americans to consider this when voting next November.
