Former lover Hallie reveals the troubling truth about the Biden family
A tragic event unfolded in room 4A at the district courthouse in Wilmington, Delaware on Thursday as Hallie Biden testified against her former lover, Hunter Biden, in his felony gun trial.
Observing the drama of the day, a Wilmington native commented on how Hallie was once on track to become the first lady of Delaware, and possibly even the first lady of the United States.
Tragically, Joseph Robinette “Beau” Biden III passed away in 2015 from brain cancer at the age of 46, leaving Hallie devastated and dashing the hopes of Joe Biden for his son’s political career. Joe Biden had hoped that Beau’s career as Delaware attorney general would reach impressive heights, matching his own achievements five years later.
As a result, Hallie, now 50, found herself in the witness box, recounting the affair and struggles with crack addiction she shared with her late husband’s brother over the following three years.
‘I regret that time’
She expressed her regret, saying, “It was a terrible experience I went through, and I’m embarrassed and I’m ashamed… I regret that time of my life.”
Dressed in a black pantsuit and silk blouse, Hallie appeared solemn as she made her way to the witness box, facing the Biden family and friends, including Hunter and his lawyers.
Among the spectators was Hunter’s second wife, Melissa Cohen, seated beside Hunter’s aunt Valerie Biden Owens, who was filling in for Jill Biden during the trial.
The courtroom dynamics seemed tense, with text messages from Hunter’s laptop revealing tensions within the Biden family, particularly Aunt Valerie’s disapproval of Hallie.
As Hallie passed the president’s portrait in the lobby, a reminder of Joe Biden’s influence, she must have felt the weight of her former father-in-law’s power, especially after a late-night visit he paid her prior to her testimony.
Hallie testified that Hunter introduced her to crack cocaine in 2015 or 2016, soon after they started a romantic relationship. She recalled an incident in October 2018 when she disposed of his handgun, leading to Hunter’s current trial where he faces accusations of lying about his drug addiction on a federal background check.
Text messages presented in court highlighted the strain in their relationship, with Hunter expressing concerns that Hallie removing the gun could trigger a relapse.
Despite the challenges they faced, Hallie portrayed a sympathetic figure, testifying to Hunter’s drug abuse and their struggles to help him get sober.
On a positive note, Hallie recently remarried wealthy financial broker John Hopkins Anning II and proudly displayed her new diamond ring in court. She beamed with joy upon seeing her husband seated opposite the Bidens.
