Hunter Biden remains guilty, but his arrogance shows no signs of abating

There is a clear display of entitled arrogance in Hunter Biden’s behavior, supported by the First Family, as he insisted on a trial despite the case being open and shut. You can read more about it here.

In his own book, Hunter discussed his drug use when he signed the federal gun permit form, making it a questionable decision to go to trial.

He likely believed he could get off, assuming that the presence of first lady Jill Biden and the rest of his family in the courtroom might sway a juror in their favor, or that his emotional story would win sympathy.

Despite the impending sentencing, which might not result in prison time according to federal guidelines, Hunter will probably appeal by challenging the law, passed with Joe Biden’s help, as a violation of the Second Amendment.

This, however, is not the most significant legal issue Hunter faces. He is set to face federal charges for tax evasion on his overseas income in California, which sheds light on the broader corruption within the Biden family.

It remains to be seen how the court will view Hunter’s dishonesty and manipulation of the legal system in this upcoming trial.

Special counsel David Weiss has been criticized for allowing Hunter to escape more serious charges related to tax violations and payments from Burisma due to his bungling. Weiss initially offered Hunter a plea deal without jail time, but this fell apart when questioned by the judge.

Interestingly, President Biden is scheduled to speak on gun control, which could be a relevant topic considering his son’s recent legal troubles.

It would be wise for President Biden to acknowledge his son’s mistakes, drug-induced behavior, and the consequences he now faces without intervening on his behalf.

Perhaps a bit of humility within the Biden family is long overdue.
