Mike Rogers Tells Newsmax He is Focusing on ‘Kitchen Table’ Concerns in Election Campaign
Former Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., is focusing his U.S. Senate campaign on everyday issues that impact people’s lives, he shared with Newsmax during an interview on Saturday.
During a conversation on “America Right Now,” Rogers highlighted how his campaign is centered around addressing concerns that directly affect individuals, such as rising costs of goods and commodities like groceries, gasoline, and household items, as well as potential government policies that may impact personal possessions like pickup trucks and gas stoves.
“People in Michigan are struggling,” Rogers emphasized. “We are committed to providing solutions that will have a tangible impact on their daily lives at home, work, and during their commutes.”
According to FiveThirtyEight, Rogers and his Democrat opponent, Rep. Elissa Slotkin, have been running neck-and-neck in polls since late April, with fluctuating favorability ratings for both candidates.
