NYC child rapist arrested, sparking letters to the editor

The Problem: An unauthorized immigrant is apprehended for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in a Queens park.

A man was taken into custody for the rape of a 13-year-old in Queens, showcasing the detrimental effects of President Biden’s open-border policy (“Migrant ‘filmed’ kid rape,” June 20).

President Biden’s border strategy has negative consequences on various aspects of American life, from crime and inflation to education and more. Despite their complaints about insufficient funding for their own disaster, Democrats remain silent on closing the border.

Unless these politicians are removed from their positions, the country’s gradual decline will persist.

This heartbreaking crime was preventable. The Biden administration and the current leadership in New York, supporting open-border policies, will continue to endanger innocent Americans who become victims of rape, murder, and other crimes.

It appears they prioritize those breaking the law to enter the United States over law-abiding citizens.

Kudos to the courageous individuals who apprehended the suspect. Mayor Adams and the governor should step down.

The June 20th front-page headline unnecessarily labels a man who confessed to raping a 13-year-old girl as an illegal migrant.

If he were a US citizen, would The Post refer to him in the same way?

Undocumented migrants are predominantly hardworking individuals who make significant contributions to society by taking on jobs that others often don’t want to do. They receive little appreciation for their sacrifices.

They help address labor shortages in various sectors, such as food production and elderly care, and studies show they commit crimes at a lower rate than US citizens.

Undocumented migrants face enough challenges without being stigmatized on the front page of The Post.

The woman who identified and subdued the suspected rapist demonstrated bravery worthy of recognition (“Femme fatale sent message,” June 20).

More people should be aware of this individual’s valor. The perpetrator deserves severe punishment. The victim, mentally and physically violated, will carry this trauma for life.

As the Sleepwalker-in-Chief saunters through his presidency, Vice President Kamala Harris explores the “root causes” of the immigration crisis in Central America, while innocent citizens suffer harm, injuries, and worse. Consider the recent rape of a 13-year-old girl in Queens.

Does anyone need more evidence to vote them out of office in November?

Biden’s border policies created a crisis that led to this girl’s assault.

How many more citizens must suffer sexual assault before Democrats acknowledge this?

Many thanks to the good Samaritans in New York City who acted swiftly to apprehend and restrain the man who raped a 13-year-old girl.

Essentially, these brave and honorable citizens cleaned up the mess left by Joe Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

Due to the failed border policies of this administration, Biden and Mayorkas bear full responsibility for what happened to this child. Consequently, both should be relieved of their duties due to neglect.

If the borders were secure, this man would not have been able to enter the country and the young girl would not have been assaulted.

The United States should close all borders.
