Taiwan President Encourages Troops to Overcome Size Disadvantage with Innovative Strategies

The leader of Taiwan emphasized the strategic importance of his island for global security, stating that its positioning makes it ‘indispensable.’

Size alone does not determine military strength, as history shows that smaller armies have defeated larger ones. President Lai Ching-te shared this insight with military leaders before the annual war games in Taiwan.

He highlighted Taiwan’s strategic location in the Taiwan Strait, underscoring its crucial role in maintaining peace and stability globally. He stressed the importance of pursuing a genuine and self-built peace.

President Lai’s remarks coincided with the upcoming Han Kuang exercise, designed to assess Taiwan’s readiness against potential invasion by China.

The Chinese regime, which views Taiwan as a renegade province, has not ruled out using force to control it, which is evident in their frequent military activities near the island.

37 Warplanes Spotted Around Taiwan

Recently, Taiwan’s Defense Ministry reported 37 Chinese warplanes around the island, with 36 crossing into Taiwan’s air defense identification zone for joint training with an aircraft carrier.

During these tense times, President Lai met with the new U.S. representative in Taiwan to reinforce economic and trade relations between the two countries.

In response to Chinese military exercises near Taiwan, the Taiwanese military has been vigilant in monitoring and responding to the presence of Chinese aircraft, navy vessels, and coastguard ships.
