Lawyer for family of Halyna Hutchins demands apology from Alec Baldwin for shooting incident
A lawyer for the family of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins has stated that Alec Baldwin should have the “human decency to say ‘I’m sorry’.
Gloria Allred, representing Ms Hutchins’ family in a civil proceeding, made this comment after a criminal manslaughter case against Baldwin was dismissed.
Baldwin shared his first comment since the case was dropped, expressing gratitude to those who supported him in a post on Instagram.
“There are too many people who have supported me to thank just now,” he wrote. “To all of you, you will never know how much I appreciate your kindness toward my family.”

The involuntary manslaughter case against Baldwin for the shooting of Ms Hutchins on the set of Rust was dismissed recently.
The actor, 66, was emotional following the judge’s decision, where it was revealed that evidence was withheld about the source of the live ammunition that caused Ms Hutchins’ death in 2021.

The case was dismissed three days into the trial in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and 18 months after charges were initially brought against Baldwin.
The actor, who has won multiple Emmy awards, consistently denied the charge, stating that he did not fire the gun and that others were responsible for safety checks on set.
Had he been convicted, Baldwin could have faced up to 18 months in prison.
