Trump demonstrates his resilience and bravery in the face of a violent assassination attempt

He was labeled as an illegitimate president.

He was perceived as a threat to democracy that needed to be thwarted.

An investigation was launched against him, his home was searched, and he was the first to be indicted in history.

A biased trial was held in an attempt to imprison him.

They denounced him as un-American and went as far as trying to prevent him from appearing on ballots in several Democratic states in the name of defending democracy.

They continue to pursue his financial ruin and the seizure of his businesses.

And now, they have attempted to assassinate him.

In that moment, Trump demonstrated himself as a true fighter. Standing in front of the American flag with blood on his face, a fist pump, and a cry to “Fight,” he validated the unwavering support of millions of his followers.

This moment likely secured his victory in the upcoming election.

This incident occurred on the eve of the Republican convention, where his resurgence from political exile would be officially announced as he accepted the party’s presidential nomination for the third time.

Polls indicate he is gaining a significant lead in key swing states, such as Pennsylvania. Speculation in both campaigns has shifted towards the size of his anticipated victory, rather than questioning if he will win.

‘Blood on their hands’

The current incumbent, a shadow of his former self, has resorted to hurling insults at MAGA Republicans as if they are alien entities. He no longer recognizes them as part of the American fabric he once vowed to bring together.

That promise seems like a distant memory now. The incumbent is so exhausted and uninspiring that his own party is eager for his departure.

However, as dusk settles in his mind and his health deteriorates, he echoes non-stop that Trump is a villain who must be barred from the White House forever.

While the person who pulled the trigger is accountable for the despicable act, it is evident that Democrats marked Trump as the target.

Their relentless and exaggerated rhetoric painted a target on Donald Trump.

They have his blood on their hands.

Interestingly, this holds true to their own standards. For years, whenever a Democrat was targeted or attacked, left-leaning publications like The New York Times were quick to blame Republican speech for inciting such violence, regardless of the facts.

Therefore, Democrats bear responsibility for this.

This blame extends beyond just extreme factions of the left. The intense hatred towards Donald Trump has become mainstream ever since his entry into the 2016 primary race.

This sentiment is pervasive, from dawn till dusk, and is expressed by individuals who may have never fathomed harboring such animosity.

Yet, their conscience did not deter them, or at least most of them, from reveling in their right to despise him. Trump, for them, embodies unparalleled evil, exempt from the standards of civil discourse or fair play.

So hate him freely, as it is your right. Nay, your duty.

In many circles of purported elite society, the only unforgivable sin is not loathing Trump enough.

Prominent leaders of the Democratic Party frequently resort to hyperbolic language when addressing him.

Nancy Pelosi referred to him as Putin’s Washington ally. Despite the evidence suggesting otherwise, some facts are overshadowed by feelings.

“All of us want to defeat Trump, the most dangerous president in American history,” Sen. Bernie Sanders exclaimed in a fundraising email received two hours prior to the assassination attempt on Trump’s life.

“The Threat Remains and Democracy Must Be Defended,” declared an email from Joe Biden around the same time.

They portray him as a menace, as a threat. He is not a typical opponent or average human. He is beneath contempt.

While impassioned language and exaggerated statements encourage many to open their wallets, this fundraising tactic also influences other individuals differently. When bombarded continuously by such rhetoric on various media platforms, it begins to shape beliefs.

Literally.

And one such believer took action and headed to the Trump rally in Butler, Pa.

Fortunately, his aim was a few inches off target.

World is watching

The most disheartening aspect is that you don’t need me to inform you of all this. Just recollect the initial reaction upon hearing the news of Trump being shot and witnessing the image of the bleeding former president being carried by men in suits, blood streaking his face, ear, and hands.

Once you knew he was targeted at a rally, all became clear.

You knew they finally did it. Even before understanding anything about the now-deceased shooter, you knew.

While the inquiry into the shooter’s background commences, more significant questions are being raised.

Foremost among these is: Could this be the inaugural shot of a second civil war?

Let us pray that the answer is negative, and pledge to abstain from resorting to violence against fellow Americans.

Also, remember this: The world is observing. And pondering.

They witness the citizens of the preeminent and mightiest nation continually despising each other and dismantling their country. They ponder why.

And they tremble for their own future because if America self-destructs, what hope remains for them?

The scene from 1787 involving Benjamin Franklin outside the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia captures the essence of the present scenario.

When asked whether the new constitution would establish a monarchy or a republic, Franklin replied: “A republic, if you can keep it.”

Here we stand, 237 years later, with Franklin’s caution reverberating anew. Can we preserve it?
