Supporters of Donald Trump don fake ear bandages following shooting incident | US News
Supporters of Donald Trump are showing solidarity with him by wearing fake ear bandages to the Republican convention following an assassination attempt on the former president.
Since the shooting in Pennsylvania on Saturday, Mr. Trump has been sporting a patch over his ear.
At the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, several participants were spotted with similar white bandages taped to their heads on Thursday.
Mr Trump is set to officially accept the GOP nomination at the convention on Thursday evening, marking his first public appearance since the assassination attempt.
Twenty-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks was fatally shot by police after he aimed his rifle at Mr. Trump during a rally near Pittsburgh last week.
Following the incident where his security officers shielded him, Mr. Trump briefly raised his fist and shouted “fight” before being escorted away.
This declaration has now become a rallying cry for his supporters, who echoed it back to him in Pennsylvania.
