MSNBC has become increasingly outrageous this summer

MSNBC is facing challenges as they navigate recent events.

Following the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, “Morning Joe” was taken off the air on Monday. This was followed by a surge in over-the-top coverage during the Republican National Convention by MSNBC’s primetime talent.

Despite delivering these intense takes from their Manhattan studio with an LED-screen backdrop creating the illusion of being live from Milwaukee, anchors such as Alex Wagner, Rachel Maddow, and Joy Reid have escalated their coverage to extreme levels.

During this time, they have made crackpot monologues about various topics, such as comparing surviving Covid to an assassination attempt and implying Aryan leanings in a political figure due to company names and speeches.

The network has focused on identity and white supremacy as their main points of discussion, rather than substantive arguments against certain political figures.

One particular incident involved Rachel Maddow suggesting a connection between a political figure and white nationalism based on the name of their venture capital firm.

It’s clear that MSNBC’s anchors are disconnected from the general public, and their sensationalist commentary may not draw viewers back in.
