Israel’s strategic future overshadowed by Houthi drone attack and Iranian nuclear threat

Israel is nearing victory over Hamas and facing threats from Iran’s allies in the wider conflict against the Jewish state.

In positive news, the IDF eliminated a top Hamas leader and there are talks of a ceasefire without Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.

However, recent drone attacks in Tel Aviv by the Houthi militia of Yemen and missile strikes from Hezbollah in Lebanon, along with Iran’s nuclear ambitions, indicate ongoing challenges for Israel.

Hezbollah poses a greater threat than Hamas, with Israel’s population weary of war. President Biden’s approach to Iran and the Gaza conflict is criticized, with questions around how Israel can effectively deter Iran without strong American support.

With risks of regional conflict escalating, calls for Biden to focus on his role without political considerations are made.
