Organic Baby Cereal from Baby Gourmet Foods Recalled Due to Potential Bacteria Contamination

A brand of baby cereal is being removed from all in-store and online retailers in Canada due to potential Cronobacter contamination.

Calgary-based Baby Gourmet Foods has issued a recall for its Banana Raisin Oatmeal Organic Whole Grain Cereal, which comes in 227 g packages.

This bacteria can lead to severe or fatal infections in the bloodstream, central nervous system, and intestines.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has initiated the recall based on the results of agency tests.

The company assures that no other Baby Gourmet or Little Gourmet products are impacted by the recall, and no incidents related to the product have been reported so far.

Anyone who has purchased this cereal is advised to dispose of it immediately or return it to the store where it was bought.
