Democrat US presidential hopeful Kamala Harris has selected Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her vice presidential running mate for the 2024 election.
An official announcement was expected to be made later today.
Walz, a former teacher and member of the US Army National Guard, gained attention for signing the “Taylor Swift bill” into law. This bill was inspired by a legislator’s frustration at not being able to purchase tickets to Swift’s 2023 concert in Minneapolis.
