Taylor Swift hints at supporting Kamala Harris in upcoming US election The article also touches on the latest news in the Entertainment and Arts world
Taylor Swift seems to have hinted at her support for a US presidential candidate, possibly Kamala Harris.
Speculation arose after the pop megastar shared a series of photos on her Instagram page on Tuesday from her recent Eras tour performances in Warsaw.
The seventh slide features a silhouette that appears to be Harris, the Democratic Party’s nominee, on stage waving behind Swift.
The photo sparked rumors that Swift might be endorsing a candidate for the upcoming election.
One X user commented: “It really feels significant that Taylor Swift included a shadow of Kamala in her Instagram post, but I haven’t seen many people discussing it.”
Another user noted: “[Swift] seems to be subtly endorsing @KamalaHarris on @instagram. No official statement yet, aside from this picture.”
However, The Hollywood Reporter cited a source close to Swift who clarified that the silhouette was one of Swift’s backup singers on stage, with such shadows being a common occurrence during performances.
Another post showed Swift performing in a yellow gown with a natural-looking silhouette in the background.
In the caption for that picture, Swift did not mention any endorsement but instead expressed her love for the Warsaw shows and excitement to return to Poland. She signed off by saying “see you soon Vienna!”
It would not be surprising if Swift leaned towards Harris, considering her support for pro-choice policies, gender equality, LGBT rights, and gun control.
