Trump to Participate in Three September Debates Against Kamala Harris, Confirms One America News Network

Former President Donald Trump has declared that he will take part in three debates against Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party’s presidential contender.

Trump announced his intentions during a press conference at his Mar-A-Lago residence on Thursday.
“I think it’s very important to have debates,” Trump said, after confirming he has accepted invitations from NBC News, Fox News, and ABC News. “We have spoken to the heads of the network and it’s all been confirmed other than some very minor details.”
Harris previously criticized Trump for not committing to an ABC News debate against her earlier. However, the former president has maintained that his initial hesitation had nothing to do with Harris, it revolved around the network’s history of bias moderators and hosts who have openly lied about Trump.
At the end of July, an interview kicked off with ABC News Senior Congressional Correspondent Rachel Scott. She asked Trump about a few of his “previous remarks,” except the comments in question were completely skewed, taken out of context, and flat-out misrepresented, attempting to make Trump look bad.
Although the Harris campaign has tried to frame the optics of the situation as Trump being “scared” to debate her, the former president also previously stated that he would not debate on ABC’s platform while citing an ongoing lawsuit filed against ABC News‘ George Stephanopoulos. Trump is currently pursuing litigation against Stephanopoulos for falsely asserting on air that Trump was found “liable for rape” in regards to writer E. Jean Carroll. Trump was never found guilty of rape.
“It’s clear from [Trump’s] question-doding: he’s scared he’ll have to defend his running mate’s weird attacks on women, or his own calls to end elections in America in a debate against the vice president,” said Ammar Moussa, a Kamala Harris spokesperson.
Even though Trump is still not fond of the network, he has since agreed to debate on ABC News, stating: “I don’t like that ABC is going to get rich.”
The Thursday comments made by Trump have now made his intentions to debate Harris clear. Harris’s camp has not immediately responded to Trump’s confirmation of the debate dates.
An ABC News debate is reportedly scheduled to take place on September 10th, a Fox News debate will be aired on September 4th, and an NBC debate will take place on September 25th.
Along with the slate of presidential debates, a vice presidential debate is currently being worked out as well, Trump said.
