Quebec Vows Not to Restrict Health Care Services, Willing to ‘Clarify’ Directive

In an open letter published today, Jean-François Roberge, Eric Girard, and Christian Dubé state that they are willing to listen to and address the concerns of the English-speaking community.
Amidst federal Liberal MPs expressing unease about the directive, the Quebec government reiterates its commitment to ensuring access to health care services in both official languages.
The directive specifies that languages other than French can only be used in health-care settings under specific circumstances related to health, public safety, or natural justice.
