Former Aide Chosen by N.J. Governor to Replace Sen. Menendez



The governor’s office announced on Friday that Democrat New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy has chosen his former chief of staff George Helmy to fill the remainder of Bob Menendez’s term in the U.S. Senate. Menendez resigned after being convicted of corruption.
