Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson are currently shooting a movie in Calgary
Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson will be calling Alberta home over the next two months as the Hollywood stars film a thriller in Calgary and the surrounding area.
The Oscar-winning Lawrence, 34, and 38-year-old Pattinson are both known for starring in big-budget blockbusters and independent dramas like their latest project.
Lawrence was catapulted to fame for her starring role in “The Hunger Games” movies while Pattinson rose to stardom thanks to the “Twilight” franchise.
The film will also feature LaKeith Stanfield, an American actor and musician best known for starring in the television series “Atlanta.”
The film is an adaptation of the 2019 novel of the same name by Argentine author Ariana Harwicz.
There is no indication of how closely the movie will follow the book, but IMDB says the film tells the story of a mother struggling “to maintain her sanity as she battles with psychosis” while living in a “remote, forgotten rural area.”
In addition to “Die, My Love,” other productions are also filming in Calgary and the surrounding area over the coming weeks.
Season 18 of “Heartland” and Netflix’s Western TV series “The Abandons” both started shooting in the area in May, the site says. “Heartland” will wrap filming at month’s end, while “The Abandons” will complete production in mid-October.
