Democrats put on a show at DNC with Kamala Harris’ tough-on-crime moderate stance

A remarkable occurrence took place at the Democratic National Convention recently. Kamala Harris not only adopted Donald Trump’s no-tax-on-tips policy but her party underwent a transformation into MAGA Republicans right before our eyes.

Once known for maligning the American flag as racist and sometimes burning it, here were Democrats immersed in a sea of Stars and Stripes as Harris made her appearance on Thursday night.

One moment Oprah was echoing Trump’s sentiments about “common sense.”

The next moment Pete Buttigieg was introducing himself to the audience by saying: “You might recognize me from Fox News.”

Attendees sported camo hats and the entertainment featured a country singer from rural Alabama and a sheriff in uniform.

Amidst the “USA! USA!” chants, Harris’ calls to God and country, and Tim “Stolen Valor” Walz’s sentimental act as a Midwestern conservative, one could easily mistake the event for a Trump rally.

This is precisely what Harris’ shrewd team of former Obama officials wants you to think.

By rebranding Kamala Harris as an ideological moderate, a tough-on-crime prosecutor, and a national-security advocate, they are making a bold play for swing voters, independents, and the 500,000 Republicans who voted against Trump in the GOP primaries on Super Tuesday.

Wall of shamelessness

In her campaign video, Harris even showcased Trump’s border wall, which she had previously criticized and blocked.

“Fixing the border is tough,” mentions the narrator. “So is Kamala Harris.”

The audacity is astounding. As the head of illegal migration for the Biden administration since March 2021, the so-called “border czar” Harris is accountable for the uncontrolled influx of over 10 million illegal immigrants across the southern border.

Nevertheless, we are now led to believe she is tougher than Trump, an assertive “border-state prosecutor” with a history of combating the cartels that dominate the border.

“After years in law enforcement, I recognize the significance of safety and security, particularly at our border,” she asserted with a serious expression.

Her speech depicted her as “tough on crime” despite her past support for the defund-police movement during the BLM-Antifa riots of 2020 and her encouragement of the rioters.

“They’re not going to stop,” she informed Stephen Colbert in June 2020. “They’re not going to let up — and they should not.”

She even promoted a fundraiser to bail out the rioters who vandalized Minneapolis.

She represents the antithesis of a law-and-order candidate, and the simplest way to comprehend her new image is to realize that every statement she made on Thursday is the opposite of reality.

Her speech was a calculated mixture of tested keywords aimed at alleviating legitimate concerns of conservatives that she is a far-left extremist disguised as a moderate.

There was hardly any objection from the progressives in the room or the media regarding Harris’ abrupt shift in stance. They are acutely aware of what is happening.

In a widely circulated video on social media, a speaker at a DNC “Black Caucus” meeting inadvertently revealed the plan: “We have 70 days to behave correctly . . . After 70 days, we can revert to acting irrationally.”

The most enthusiastic about the DNC convention were warmongering never-Trumpers who despise the former president to such an extent that they are willing to forsake all conservative values to praise a leftist.

Bill Kristol, the primary supporter of the Iraq War, wasted no time endorsing Harris and lauding the prime-time appearance of former CIA Director Leon Panetta on Thursday, one of the unapologetic liars who falsely alleged that Hunter Biden’s laptop was part of a Russian disinformation campaign.

“Leon Panetta quoting Ronald Reagan!” he tweeted. “My type of Democratic convention.”

Among the turncoat Republicans given a prime-time speaking slot was former Rep. Adam Kinzinger, referred to as Nancy Pelosi’s favored traitor on the Jan. 6 committee: “Democrats are as patriotic as” Republicans, he effused.

Later, he expressed to CNN that Harris’ speech was “quite impressive. Trump has abandoned many traditional Republican stances [such as] national defense . . . Kamala has taken those stances on immigration [and] Ukraine. I believe that if you are an undecided Republican out there, it’s difficult not to support Kamala now.”

He is easily swayed.

Harris’ clever speechwriters peppered her address with enough trigger words to placate the neoconservative world. She asserted that she had “confronted threats to our security, negotiated with foreign leaders, and strengthened our alliances.”

She even boasted about meeting with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky at the Munich Security Conference in February 2022 “to warn him about Russia’s plan to invade,” as if the Russian troops amassed at his border weren’t evident.

One observer of her performance in Munich was surprised that she chose to highlight it in her speech because it was so embarrassing. Five days later, Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine. Thus, unless that was her intention, she failed miserably.

As part of her new persona, Harris donned a conservative navy pantsuit instead of the pastel colors she typically favors and did not emphasize her gender.

After years of criticizing toxic masculinity, particularly of the Caucasian variety, Democrats are now welcoming “white dudes for Kamala” to the table, though, as CNN’s Dana Bash noted, they are not “the testosterone-filled, gun-toting type of guy who wants to listen to Hulk Hogan” but subservient men who understand their place in the matriarchy —like Walz and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff.

A Kennedy says it best

The antidote to the topsy-turvy, Alice in Wonderland scenario at the DNC convention was Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s sincere and thoughtful support of Trump on Friday.

“How did the Democratic Party select a candidate who didn’t participate in a single interview or debate throughout the entire election cycle? We know the answers. They achieved it by weaponizing government agencies. They did it by forsaking democracy,” Kennedy declared.

“They did it by silencing opposing views and by disenfranchising American voters. What concerns me most isn’t how the Democratic Party manages its internal affairs or runs its candidates. What concerns me is the resort to censorship and media manipulation and the exploitation of federal agencies.”

In one speech, he exposed the deception of the DNC convention and revealed the emptiness of the party’s appeals to “freedom.”

The freedom preached by Harris and Walz is actually the coercion of compliance with their large-scale government initiatives such as “free” college, “free” child care, “Medicare for all,” price controls, and taxes on imaginary profits to fund it all.

It’s the freedom of FBI censorship and CIA deceit, of SWAT incursions into the homes of pro-life Christians and government informants in Catholic Mass. It’s the freedom of Mao and Stalin, and of dictators everywhere.

No dissent is permitted in the euphoria surrounding Harris’ rise to power.

The censorship machinery will ensure that. Otherwise, it’s straight to the gulag for you.
