Biden and Harris aim to downplay the consequences of their chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan

Former President Donald Trump visited Arlington National Cemetery on Monday to honor the memory of the 13 US service members killed in the Abbey Gate bombing during President Biden’s Afghanistan crisis. Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris chose to take the day off instead of joining the wreath-laying ceremony with the families of the fallen.

The White House issued statements in Biden and Harris’ names, attempting to downplay their administration’s failure in Afghanistan. Biden, who had previously forgotten the fallen’s existence during a debate with Trump, still insists the Afghanistan pullout was a success, despite testimonies from top generals contradicting his claims.

Many of the bereaved families chose to speak at the Republican convention, praising Trump for spending time with them and offering support. Harris’ statement aligned closely with Biden’s, emphasizing his “courageous and right decision” to end America’s longest war, despite the controversial pullout plan and her own involvement in the decision-making process.

The chaotic events in Kabul following the US withdrawal have left a lasting negative impact, emboldening terrorists and dictators worldwide. The lack of accountability from Biden and Harris has allowed them to evade responsibility for the crisis, while Trump’s dignified gestures serve as a stark reminder of their failures.
